Thanks!Whats the best shampoo to use for african american hair? I use Biolage but its not doing much for me?
For Shampooing, use Parnevu T Tree Shampoo.
For conditioning, use Organic Root Stimulator HAIR MAYONNAISE.
I suggest washing + conditioning your hair once a week.
For GREAT moisturizing, use a small amount of Organic Root Stimulator CARROT OIL daily.
IF you have a perm, use Pro-Line PERM REPAIR after each wash+condition. *DO NOT use Carrot Oil on the day you wash your hair*
Natural or Permed hair should always be kept under a satin/silk head scarf every night! If your hair is permed - wrap your hair before applying the scarf.Whats the best shampoo to use for african american hair? I use Biolage but its not doing much for me?
Organic Root Stimulator
I'm black, but i actually use,Garnier Fructis...the sleek and shine,it leaves my hair soft....and I've used Cream of Nature too...they both work pretty good....
Is your hair processed or natural? It depends on the kinds of chemicals, if you use any. I have always found that Nexxus therappe was good for my relaxed hair, with humectress conditioner. Nexxus also makes botanoil, which is supposed to be for ';curly'; (read african american) hair but it seems drying.
Give Nexxus a try you can buy them anywhere now
Here are a few that I personally like and why:
Pantene Pro V: gives your hair body and it really moisturizes it
Motions Shampoo and Conditioner: Hair feels really soft and conditioned like it has a protective layer on it
It really depends on what you need for your hair. I also really like Paul Mitchells Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner it's tingly and it helps with dandruff which is good for me during the winter months.
Use either Dr. Miracles or Cream of Nature. They both work really well . Also used their conditioners for best results.
I use Biolage, it works really good for me.. You might want to try NEXXUS.. They have some special shampoos for ethnic hair..
i get loads of dandruff so i use head and shoulders (when i need it). most of the time chemical relaxers get the dandruff good.
For clarifying and dandruff problems, I've found Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Shampoo to work the best.
For Moisturizing Shampoos, Cream of Nature and Design Essentials works great.
For Conditioning, I go back to the good ol' Queen Helene Cholesterol Conditioner and when I want to deep condition, I use Queen Helene or Organics Roots Stimulator Olive Oil Replinishing Pak and sit under a hooded blow-dryer for 15 minutes.
For Reconstructor Conditioning which I do bi-weekly, I use Joico K-Pak Reconstructor, Aphogee, or Ion.
Leave-In Conditioners, Design Essentials Thereaputic RX is wonderful (I'm addicted to that) and Infusium 23.
All these I use in order except for the clarifying and reconstructor because I do those bi-weekly. I have used all of these products for the past 3 years and my hair is in great condition. I even used them when a former beautician messed my hair up and it caused breakage and using these shampoos and conditioners helped to keep my hair moisturized and get it back healthy. Hope this helps you and good luck....
